I was born and raised in Brazil. After high school my parents sent me to the US to go to college and, after a couple of years at Atlantic Union College in So. Lancaster, MA, I got married, had a child and eventually decided for business school at Fitchburg State College. Upon graduating with a BS in Business Administration and Economics I enrolled at the University of Massachusetts in Lowell for an MBA. I finished my MBA, worked in mid-level management for several different corporations, owned two restaurants and a trade company, and eventually followed the family tradition by going to law school at the Massachusetts School of Law.
I experienced first-hand the difficulties of being an immigrant in the US and saw the opportunity to help the Portuguese and Spanish-speaking community by going to law school and becoming an honest, dedicated and serious advocate of immigration rights and reform. In my office we offer immigrants an alternative to be represented by an attorney who understand your culture, your language and who knows what it is to be an immigrant in the United States.
After working a couple of years in debt collection I opened my office where we work on immigration, criminal law, consumer protection and other diverse areas of need, particularly, for immigrants.
I have written a few articles on immigration reform and the role of immigration in our society, and I am exploring the writing of a book on the economic impact of illegal immigration in our society today.
